Threemile Vineyard is beautiful site draped across the high, steep hills just outside The Dalles, OR. The dominant soil type here is Cherryhill silt Loam, a well-drained, alluvial style on steep slopes. 2.6 acres of Tempranillo (Clone #3) and 10.2 acres of Albariño (Clone #1) are tucked in at about 1200-1400-ft elevation where the grapes benefit from hot, dry days and buffered by cooling temperatures overnight.
We love the juicy, bold, energetic character this vineyard provides in the wines, which we believe is a product of the dramatic diurnal effects of the sites elevation and the strict organic farming practices applied.
Threemile Vineyard Albariño is 50% of our "Blanco" white blend, and their Tempranillo makes up 100% of our "La Guitarra" single vineyard Tempranillo.
Sitting high up above the Columbia River in Underwood, WA, Jason Mann's Rock steady Vineyard is a site producing gorgeous views and fruit alike. The vineyard is Organic certified with a focus on regenerative farming practices to enhance soil quality and biodiversity. The Tempranillo section here is about 13 years old and holds bright acidity and minerality right up to harvest.
Rock Steady Vineyard is the source for our Tempranillo used in our Oso Rosado
A standard-bearer for Tempranillo in the Rogue Valley. Upper Five Vineyard is situated at 1920 feet outside of Talent, Oregon in the Rogue Valley AVA. Terry Sullivan and Molly Morison planted Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, and Syrah grapes on the “upper five” acres of the historic Bagley pear orchard in 2003. Upper Five became a Demeter certified Biodynamic® farm in 2018. At over twenty years in age now, these vines produce fruit of great concentration and complexity. The planted clones are 01, 03, and Duero and are co-fermented at the winery.
Upper Five Vineyard provides Tempranillo for our "La Carrera" Tempranillo release.
Javier Marin's family-run vineyard is site we are very excited about. The vines are young here, yet showing incredible intensity and liveliness in the grapes each harvest. Javier is committed to organic methods and uses a wide variety of cover crops to boost soil health as his vineyard matures. The site is primarily composed of Carlton Silt Loam and reaches an elevation of 350-ft.
Marin Estate Vineyard produced Chardonnay for our Blanco white blend, making up 50% of the composite.
