Colin moved from Baltimore, MD to Oregon's Willamette Valley to pursue winemaking in 2005. His love for crafting great wines was born years before in the cellars of Basignani Winery in northern Baltimore County where he learned classic, minimal intervention methods. His first intorduction to Oregon winemaking began with harvest at the Cartlon Winemakers' Studio and has bought him all the way to his current position as the Associate Winemaker at GC (Grochau) Wines.
Colin's experience has at times expanded outside of the cellar, from Head Distiller at Portland's famed House Spirits (Aviation Gin, Westward Whiskey) to starting the short-lived gem of a wine bar, Oso Market, with his wife, Holly. These expanded perspectives outside of wine production has provided immeasurable insight into crafting premium wines and how we enjoy them.
While Holly loves wine, she really knows business and how to get things done. After 12 years in corporate operations Holly has a diverse tool kit in business management.
With Mendivia, she keeps our ducks in a tight row, manages our business growth, and distribution relationships.
